What is the Unashamed Lyric Video Contest?
We often recieve requests for lyrics to our songs, so we thought, lets put it in the hands of our biggest supporters, YOU!
The task is to create a dynamic, engaging, and impactful lyric video for one Reach Records hit from the list provided below. We want to know how YOU would represent these songs in a lyric video. Be creative and have fun. Create the content, submit it to us, and we will announce the winner for some great prizes!
Note: All submissions must be uploaded to your YouTube account and the link sent to info@reachrecords.com. The subject line should read: UNASHAMED LYRIC VIDEO CONTEST and the deadline to submit is August 15th.
What’s in it for you?
There will be one 1st place prize and four runner-up prizes.
First Place:
- Video featured on the Reach Records YouTube channel
- $500 cash
- $250 Reach Records store credit
Runner-Ups:
- $250 Reach Records store credit
Contest Guidelines:
- The video cannot exceed the length of the track.
- Contestants are limited to submitting a video for ONE song out of the provided list.
- The song should be the full track, please no mashups or remixes!
- The video should contain only appropriate content. i.e. no material that is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, or profane.
- There is no required resolution or aspect ratio, but we recommend at least 1280 X 720.
Note: The grand prize winner, in exchange for their $500 prize, will grant Reach Records ownership of the video.

Are you looking for someone to make lyric videos to your songs? Or lyric videos to something original that we have written? I kept reading about a list provided below. but never saw a list. kinda confused.

Sweet... lyrics! Just fyi, I edit and often use Lyric Wiki (lyrics.wikia.com). Any help would be appreciated! I'm nearly on my own there (as far as Christian rap goes).

I just had a question about the lyric video contest. Should the video contain action clips like a music video or is it supposed to be all words?? And do we have to use all the lyrics in the video or can we just write some lines we want to stand out? Also, when is the deadline? Thank you!

Are you guys going to give us the songs to edit with, or do we make up our version of the song using the supplied lyrics, like a cover?

What I think they want it to be is more like "Dear Mr. Christian". Usually lyric videos use all of the lyrics.

The only application I have to use for lyric videos is iMovie, I would say it works pretty well.
