Prayer & Support for Tedashii

Posted on March 28, 2013 / by Bradley

This month Tedashii's family suffered a terrible tragedy. His one year old boy passed away. Please join us as we encourage and bless our brother Tedashii and his family at this time. Read the blog (below) from His Voice Global to find out how you can help.

Tedashii’s family has suffered a terrible tragedy this month. His one year old boy passed away. As we grieve with him and his family we also want to bless them. As you know, Tedashii’s job takes him from city to city where he performs and blesses thousands of people with his art. In this time, we want to offer him the opportunity to stay home with his family, grieve, begin to heal, seek the Lord, be comforted and to comfort. The perception is that if one is a traveling musician, they have more money than they know what to do with. The fact is, that is just not true. We want to bless him with the gift of not having to worry about being on the road to make ends meet. Our goal: To provide for our brother and his family for 6 months. This means raising enough money to cover all of the family’s expenses. Join us in caring for our dear friends. Click here to donate now, designate “Tedashii” in the memo. ....READ MORE.

Psalms 9:9 the LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in the times of troubles. I don't know why this tragedy had to happen but I know that it's all part of God's will for your life. I don't know you personally but you're a brother in Christ and I'll be praying for you. Don't focus on the death but look on the bright side. You had a son whom loved you and had time with him which is better then having no time at all. God bless you Tedashi. I know you can get through this pain with God on your side. Glory be to him forever and ever. Amen

Please know that I and my youth group, Tribe122, are praying for you and your family. You have brought Jesus to countless people in a way no traditional pastor ever could. You challenge, encourage and teach, which is exactly what I as a youth pastor strive to do. You may not know us personally, but you are family. We are all part of the body, and the body loves you. The same unconditional love you tell others about is for you. May the King of Kings lavish you and your family with love and bless you wildly. May you feel His hand around you as you rest. And may you glorify Him in the midst of pain, because He is worthy. Thank you for being obedient to your calling.

Tedashi, I am a huge fan and until i saw this post today I had no idea of your pain and loss. I am deeply saddened to hear it. I am a very poor man when it comes to money... I struggle to give my ten percent to the church. But i know that God blesses cheerful giving and its His Will and His Money! What can i say at this sad time? I can say this. My son was born two months and two days premature. He spent three weeks in the NICU instead of the three months they said he would. His name is Isaiah which means the Lord Helps ME! When He came early I worried about him and my wife. The Dr's had tried to stop her labor and did for two days, but there was nothing they could do! So he came via C-Section two days later. When they took my son out of his mother I watched... I held his hand the first person to do so in his short life. He was only 4.7 pounds but he grabbed my righthand so tightly; as to say "Yo Dad I am going to be just fine! He has had countless visits to the dr. for lung issues and is struggling daily with breathing treatments and the like. But I know God will heal him! God is using him through all of this and us to encourage people! ISAIAH and you Tedashi Your help comes from the Lord! He will use this situation to bless you and others... I struggle when a child dies, I often ask God how come? I know of a 14 year old girl who is dying as we speak with cancer. The Dr's. and family have no hope left. But her community threw her a prom has had vigils and come out in full support of her. They rallied as a family behind this sick girl! God showed out! He used this situation to show He still moves! Maybe not in all the way We SEE as important! He see's things differently. So let me close by saying Our God exchanges beauty for ashes. And HE can and will take the dung from our lives and do lovely things with it!

there's no conflict between trusting the Lord and caring for those in need. Quote as much scripture as you like, your comments don't make you sound holy, they make you sound like an insensitive jerk. I 'believe the Lord' will help you see that in time Bro.

Ah man, I'm so sorry brother. You'll be in my prayers daily man. Hey, remember that post you blogged about our brothers and sisters that die or move away, that we will see them up in heaven? That really helped me, and I pray that you will be able to keep that in mind to man. May the Lord strengthen you in this trial, and may you be reminded daily of Romans 8:28 "For we know that the Lord works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose." Stay strong brother, I'll be praying for you and your family.

I saw Tedashiis post on FB asking for prayers from the saints, I had no idea the gravity of the situation until now. I had met Tedashii at the Rock and Worship roadshow stop in Utah, worked in his booth and he gave me a hard time about my Falcons hat. What I saw, was a man who walked what he preached. He stayed and gave genuine attention to EVERYONE that came up to the booth. I know he works hard at what he is called to do, balancing that with family is tough. I also saw the Instagram photos of his sons at the park during daddy sons time after he got home. I can't even begin to imagine what he and his family are going through right now. I do know that I lost my niece Xoey who brought an entire family back together when she was born. My family was riddled with break ups and divorces around the time my sister in law was pregnant with her, through the birth of that little girl, and everyone being mature enough, the family all came together to celebrate her life. I remember vividly how I felt when my ex-wife called me at work to tell me she had passed away from SIDS.I loved that baby girl with all my heart. I know that Tedashiis situation is different, but this news hit very close to home. The only thing I know for certain suh, is that everything will be restored, Job is an example. I'm praying for and mourning with you during this time. Prayers out to those praying for you as well. My sincerest apologies for your loss Bruh

My family's heart deeply grieves and weeps with you and your family. We imagine that no words can adequately describe your pain and sadness and maybe even anger. We have been highly encouraged and challenged in our walk with Jesus by your artistry, ministry and testimony. We will indeed pray that our Lord will comfort you and your family, and that your closest friends will surround you and walk with you.

And Reach & HVG:
We will also make a donation to our brother's family. Thank you for making the need known.

Now is not the time for a theological debate; especially when the Bible is so crystal clear that some people will die and remain dead! ... physically at least... temporarily. This physical body is not all that matters. When a Christian dies, or an infant (I believe), they are home with Christ. It is OUR (OWN) heart that is hurt. Not theirs. They feel no more hurt. Can Jesus raise people from the dead? Absolutely... he did then and he still can now. Does he always do this? No. Does he need to do this to still be all powerful, good, and just? No. Some of his works were to fulfill prophecy and validate his ministry. I don't think anyone here or in "non-charismatic" circles would suggest that Jesus didn't or couldn't perform miracles, or that he could not do the same today if he wanted to! We just know, from his Word, that there are only a handful of incidents of people being raised from the dead and that the overwhelming NORM is that "it is appointed once for a man to die." I actually find it cruel to pray someone back to this fallen world, away from Paradise with God. The motive could only be selfish, as they are much better off with God. And my friend... It is a blatant lie to claim that Jesus needs our belief, or permission, for his power to heal. He needs nothing. By definition he is self-sufficient and self-sustaining. Even when he does work THROUGH our faith it is by HIS sovereign choice, and the Word is clear that even our faith is not of our own doing, but is a gift to begin with. God initiates all power. Not man. So we pray for Tedashii and his family, that they will turn to God in their time of need... and we recognize that their son is gone and that God is still good.
